UK Cat Cafes Reopening in July 2020

Cat cafes around the world had to close due to lockdown, and those in the UK have not been able to open to the public since March. With UK restrictions now easing, many cat cafes will be reopening in July, while following guidelines set out by the government. Here are the ones we know are reopening this month…

Shakespaw Cat Cafe, Stratford upon Avon – 9th July

The Shakespeare-themed cat cafe reopens on 9th July with revised opening hours.

Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium, London – 16th July

London’s first cat cafe reopens on 16th July with limited numbers and additional measures to keep customers and staff safe. Read more and book here

Mog on the Tyne, Newcastle – 21st July

Despite announcing their closure, Newcastle cat Cafe Mog on the Tyne was rescued by crowdfunders and plans to reopen on 21st July. Book here

Cat Cafe Manchester – 4th July

Manchester’s city centre cat cafe is reopening on 4th July. Book here

Cat Cafe Liverpool – 4th July

… and as you’d expect, Cat Cafe Manchester’s sister cat cafe in Liverpool is also reopening on 4th July. Book here

Charlie’s Cat Cafe, Stone – 4th July

Charlie’s Cat Cafe in Stoke-on-Trent reopens on 4th July with additional guidelines shared in on their Facebook page

Coffee Cats Lincoln – 14th July

Lincoln’s cat cafe will be reopening on 14th July with social distancing measures and extra cleaning. Book here

You&Meow, Bristol – 1st August

Bristol’s cat cafe plans to reopen on 1st August, with a reduced number of customers. Book here

Maison de Moggy, Edinburgh – 15th July

Scotland’s first cat cafe, Maison de Moggy in Edinburgh, is reopening from 15th July with additional health and safety measures and limited capacity. Booking available here


And not quite reopening yet…

Tabby Tea’s Cat CafeĀ  in Sheffield have announced on social media that they plan to reopen soon, but with no set date yet. Keep an eye on their Facebook page!

Purrple Cat CafeĀ in Glasgow have hinted on social media that bookings will reopen soon. Check out their website for updates
